Owner Jim Marcucilli Brings Deep Automotive Knowledge to Berkshire Motors
Jim Marcucilli, the owner of Berkshire Motors, has worked in the automotive industry professionally for more than three decades. He graduated in 1978 from Denver Automotive & Diesel College. Afterward, he began working at a Chevrolet dealership in Danbury, Connecticut, as a technician.
The following year, Jim started his new job with a Subaru dealership, where he stayed for 20 years – 10 years as a technician and another 10 years as a Service Manager.
In 1999, Jim opened his car repair shop in his hometown of Sandy Hook. Back then, he owned a modest two-bay shop in Georgetown, about 90 minutes from Sandy Hook. Once he learned that the garage Berkshire Motors was for sale, he purchased it, and started working there as a technician.
Since that time, Jim has brought on a shop foreman and four additional technicians. Jim enjoys interacting with his customers as he finds solutions and options for all their repair needs at Berkshire Motors.
